چکیده
Background: As the state of Punjab has become endemic for dengue, this study was planned to determine susceptibility status two different classes adulticides and VGSC gene polymorphism in domain II Aedes aegypti. Methodology: Adult bioassays were performed with pyrethrum, deltamethrin malathion as per WHO protocol. AS-PCR sequencing carried out detect V1016G Kdr (Knockdown resistance) mutations. Results:Ae. aegypti from districts Ludhiana Patiala found be resistant pyrethrum. The V/ V genotype frequency higher all districts. Three known polymorphisms not recorded but one synonymous non-synonymous mutation found. Group B intron gene. For malathion, 100% four Conclusion: Thus, present findings indicate towards whereas, moderate resistance pyrethrum recorded. Therefore, more studies should various domains

Insecticide susceptibility of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus across Thailand.
Aedes aegypti (L.) and Aedes albopictus (Skuse), two important vectors of dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever, were collected from Mae Sot, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surat Thani, and Phatthalung, Thailand, from July 2003 to April 2004. The patterns of insecticide susceptibility to temephos, malathion, and permethrin of both Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus larvae were determined. Ae....

The insecticide susceptibility of Aedes aegypti adults and larvae from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was investigated using World Health Organization standard procedures. A field strain was more resistant to insecticides than a colony strain that originated from the same place. Larvae produced from ovitrap-collected eggs were resistant to temephos (78.2% mortality on exposure to 0.025 mg/l...
متن کاملSusceptibility status of Aedes aegypti (L.) (Diptera: Culicidae) to temephos from three districts of Tamil Nadu, India.
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES Dengue is the most rapidly expanding arboviral disease in India. Aedes aegypti is the primary vector of dengue fever. Chemical insecticides have long been used in the vector control programmes along with other control measures. However, continuous use of insecticides targeting Ae. aegypti may lead to development of insecticide resistance. Though resistance in Ae. aegypti...

Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever, vector-borne diseases transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti, are presently important public health problems in Brazil. As the strategy for disease control is based on vector control through the use of insecticides, the development of resistance is a threat to programs efficacy. The objective of this study was to compare the Aedes aegypti susceptibility i...

The susceptibility status of field-collected Aedes aegypti (L.) from a dengue endemic area to Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) and temephos was determined. Since August 2007, biweekly ovitrap surveillance (OS) was conducted for 12 mo in 2 sites, A & B, in Shah Alam, Selangor. Site A was treated with a Bti formulation, VectoBac® WG at 500 g/ha, from December 2007 - June 2008 while Site B...
